Turn a single practice into a shared experience
Darkfield work grows with experience. A single practice sees a few thousand recordings over the years — a community sees tens of thousands. That accumulated knowledge is what we make available to you, without ever letting an image or a name leave your practice.
How the exchange works
Only when you actively opt in does the app send anonymous pattern descriptors to our Swiss server. No images, no crops, no patient names — just numerical descriptions of the patterns you confirmed or corrected. From these descriptors neither the original image nor your practice can be reconstructed.
1. You decide
The exchange is off by default. You enable it in the settings — per session or permanently.
2. We consolidate
Once a week, contributions from participating practitioners are consolidated. Contradictory assessments are not discarded; they are weighted by reliability.
3. Expert review
Unclear cases are routed to experienced practitioners with the expert role. Only clusters with a clear majority consensus enter the consensus bundle.
4. You receive
On the next app start your software picks up the new consensus bundle. Your pattern recognition benefits from the distilled knowledge right away.
Reliability instead of single voices
Not every assessment is weighted equally. Over time the app measures how often your assessment matches the community majority — that is your reliability score (Inter-Rater-Reliability). Practitioners who assess reliably over many weeks gain more weight in future rounds. Newcomers start at a neutral level.

You stay in control — always
Withdraw contribution
On written request we block your pseudo ID completely. The next consensus bundle excludes you automatically (right to be forgotten under FADP art. 32 / GDPR art. 17).
Pause participation
In the settings you can temporarily turn off the exchange. Your local work continues unchanged.
Rollback
The app keeps the last three consensus bundles locally. If an update feels wrong, you can roll back to an earlier version.
No cloud requirement
You can use the software without the community exchange entirely. All core features are available without participation.

The app downloads them automatically; manual downloads are
available for transparency.
